Evangelism & Missions

The Missions and Evangelism Unit is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through hospital outreach, community evangelism, and mission initiatives.

Building a Missional Church

The Evangelism and Mission Unit of Hospital Chapel stands at the forefront of the Church’s divine mandate—“Reaching the Unreached and Discipling the Nations.” Rooted in the Great Commission, this unit is passionately committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, both within the hospital community and far beyond its walls.

At its core, the unit exists to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel. Through intentional outreach efforts, members are mobilized to share the message of salvation with boldness, compassion, and cultural sensitivity. Whether through personal evangelism, organized outreaches, or mission trips, the focus remains clear: bringing hope, healing, and eternal life to all.

The unit actively engages in a variety of evangelistic initiatives designed to reach diverse groups. These include hospital ward outreaches, community evangelism, medical missions, and targeted campaigns in underserved areas. By meeting both spiritual and practical needs, the ministry builds meaningful connections that open doors for the Gospel.

Recognizing that every believer is called to be a witness, the Evangelism and Mission Unit places strong emphasis on training and discipleship. Members are equipped through workshops, seminars, and hands-on outreach experiences to confidently share their faith, defend biblical truth, and disciple new converts. This intentional equipping ensures that evangelism becomes a lifestyle, not just an event.

Hospital Chapel actively partners with missionaries and mission organizations within Nigeria and across the globe. The unit supports these missions through prayer, financial contributions, and logistical assistance. Regular mission conventions and engagements provide opportunities to encourage, refresh, and commission missionaries for greater impact in their respective fields.

Beyond preaching, the unit demonstrates the love of Christ through acts of service. From reaching the sick within the hospital to supporting vulnerable communities, evangelism is expressed holistically—addressing both the spiritual and physical needs of people. This integrated approach reflects the ministry of Jesus and strengthens the credibility of the Gospel message.

The Evangelism and Mission Unit plays a vital role in shaping Hospital Chapel into a mission-driven church. By fostering a culture of outreach, prayer, and global awareness, it inspires members to see themselves as ambassadors of Christ in every sphere of life—workplaces, schools, communities, and nations.

As the world continues to evolve, the unit remains committed to innovative and Spirit-led approaches to evangelism. Leveraging both traditional and modern methods—including digital platforms—it continues to expand its reach, ensuring that the message of Christ remains accessible to all.

At Hospital Chapel, evangelism is not just a department—it is a calling. And through the Evangelism and Mission Unit, that calling is being faithfully lived out every day.
